Review and Prospect of the Research on Chinese Residents' Property Gap

Policy Description: Household property is one of the main criteria for measuring a country's economic strength and people's living standards, and the distribution of property is also an important part of reflecting social equity. Based on the literature review, this paper reviews the definition of property, data sources and methods in the study of Chinese residents' property distribution, and responds to the estimation results of residents' property gap research and several disputes, and also summarizes the past research. There are several key issues and challenges that exist, and some suggestions for future property distribution studies are made.
