1. Is the funding unit a National Natural Science Foundation or a Peking University Management Science Data Center?
The Peking University Management Science Data Center, the direct funding unit is the Management Science Data Center. The application for the center project does not involve the natural science fund project application limit, so the applicant can also apply for the natural science fund project at the same time.
2. Are there any specific format requirements for the design of the project, the research basis and the guarantee conditions?
A: No, it can be filled in according to the norms and habits of various disciplines. Applicants can also apply for natural science fund project applications or social science fund project applications as reference models.

A: Because of the two rounds of review, the final results of the 2017 review may be given at the beginning of the 2017 semester (around March). It is planned to complete the first round of judging this semester and complete the second round of judging at the beginning of the next semester.
4. Do you have to use the database of the survey center?
A: No. We encourage the use of the central database (CFPS, CHARLS), but are not limited to this, applicants can also use other normative databases. Information about the Center's database (CFPS and CHARLS) is available on the Data Collection section of this website and can be downloaded by request.
5. Is it possible to apply for a topic other than the subject guide?
A: Yes, very welcome. The topics listed in the Question Guide are only part of the application. As long as the following two conditions are met: (1) realistic, targeted and strong decision-making reference value based on national policy needs; (2) original, pioneering and high academic based on quantitative data The value of thought can be applied.
6. How many topics are funded each year? What is the percentage of the application for the project?
A: In 2016, 6 projects were funded, and about 15% of the projects will be funded
7. Are the key funding topics and funding topics evaluated at the same time? Is there a sequence?
A: It is also judged at the same time.
8. How many key topics are there each year? Is there a fixed ratio?
A: There is no fixed proportion of key topics. In 2016, five key topics were funded, and the quality of the application was the main criterion.
9. Is the expenditure from the Peking University or the organization of the research group?
A: From the direct expenditure of Peking University, each research group is sold from the Beijing University.
10. Can I still join someone else's research group while applying for a topic for the applicant?
A: Yes.
11. Can a foreign scholar apply for a topic?
A: Yes.
12. Does the project selection have a special preference for topics in certain fields (more likely to win the bid)?
A: No, the selection is based on the quality of the application for the project. There is no case where the application in a certain research field is easier to win. But it must be satisfied with the use of data to do quantitative research and two basic conditions related to policy.
