Study on the Influence of Family Parent-child Companion on Early Childhood Development: An Empirical Analysis Based on Poor Rural Children

Project Description:

Based on the previous research work of the applicant, this study will further explore how to combine the different elements of early childhood development services such as nutrition, health and family parenting activities guidance, and evaluate its impact and mechanism.

 

The goal of this study is to understand the current situation of parental companionship in children aged 0-3 years in poor rural areas, to analyze the determinants that restrict family companionship, and to scientifically assess the early childhood development services for family parent-child companion quality, child nutrition, health and early development. Impact and internal mechanism; on the basis of the above analysis, the country will implement and improve policies for promoting the early development of poor rural children in the future, and provide decision-making reference for China's transition from a human resource country to a human resource power.

 

In order to accomplish the above research objectives, this project intends to carry out research work in the following aspects:

 

Exploring the current situation of scientific parenting knowledge, parenting behavior, healthy growth and development of infants and young children aged 0-3 in poor rural households;

Analysis of determinants of infantry and child rearing behavior in poor rural households aged 0-3;

Assess the impact of early childhood development services provided by governments and society on the nutrition, health and capacity development of poor rural children.

On the basis of the above analysis, it summarizes the early childhood development services provided by the government and the society, and promotes the early human capital formation experience in poverty-stricken areas in China, and provides decision-making reference for the country to develop and improve the development of poor rural children.

 

The key to the research project of this project is that the research team and the national and local health and family planning departments and social organizations (referred to as partners) jointly design, organize and implement pilot projects for the provision of early childhood development services for poor rural children in the sample areas. This study can make full use of this pilot project to design a reasonable research program, based on the collection of relevant data, scientifically analyze and evaluate the impact of government and society on early childhood development services on children's nutrition, health and development.
