A Comparative Study of the Long-Term Effects of Preschool Education on Children's Development

Project Description:

The purpose of this study is to characterize the prevalence of preschool education in different provinces of China (Shanghai, Guangdong, Gansu, Liaoning, Henan) and regions (rural, urban areas), and use tracking data to conduct in-depth examinations of preschool education for children [according to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child] By definition, a child refers to anyone under the age of 18. The long-term effects of early development (cognitive, non-cognitive, etc.), assessing the degree of inequality in children's access to preschool education, and the group differences in the long-term effects of preschool education on children's development, combined with internationally high-quality follow-up surveys. This is a comparative study to explore the contribution of public policies (such as transfer payment policies, public health service popularization and universal pre-school education policies) to alleviating inequality, promoting social class mobility and improving children's development level. Based on policy recommendations.
