Project leader: Zhou Xiaolin School of Psychology and Cognitive Science, Peking University
Start and end time of the project: May 31, 2018 - May 31, 2020
Project Description:
This subject is based on the working age population in China. Focus on the middle-low social class and compare the high social class with the middle-low social class. The working-age population is China's human resources, and it is also the group with the greatest pressure on the whole society. According to the report of the National Bureau of Statistics on January 20, 2017, China's working-age population accounts for 65.6% of the total population.
It is proposed to rely on the domestic large-scale data platform, focusing on the working-age population in China, and the definition of mental health by the 22 departments of the National Health and Family Planning Commission and the World Health Organization as the criteria for selecting mental health assessment indicators, and comprehensively applying cross-sectional research and tracking. Research design, through the hierarchical linear model, the trend value analysis, the potential classification model and the group-based development model, through the social stratification perspective and the physiological and social psychological model of mental health, in-depth study of the impact of social governance on mental health and Mechanism.
1. Research focus: (1) Analysis and description of China's mental health status is not only the foundation of the whole subject, but also the starting point of the subject; (2) Constructing the mental health generation mechanism and impact mechanism model through theoretical analysis, which is the whole subject core. (3) According to the mental health generation mechanism, a targeted intervention path is proposed, which is the foothold of this topic.
2. Difficulties in research: (1) How to divide the social class of the population is a difficult point of this topic. In the future, based on extensive consultations with experts and research team members, combined with appropriate statistical methods, a reasonable division plan will be designed. (2) The time spent on data is far more than the time spent analyzing the data. Can be solved but there is a problem that needs to be solved patiently.
The main objectives of the study:
1. Through theoretical analysis and empirical data analysis, comprehensively understand and grasp the current state of mental health of different social classes in China.
2. Through theoretical analysis, reveal the mechanism of macro/middle view/microstructure variables affecting mental health, as well as the social consequences and intervention paths of mental health.
3. Through the research of this topic, provide reference and basis for relevant government departments to issue relevant documents and policies for strengthening and improving mental health services.
