The research of this topic has important practical policy value. Understanding the current situation of China's old-age poverty rate and its influencing factors will help to formulate and implement relevant poverty alleviation policies more accurately; studying the economic support system of an aging society will help to understand the understanding of government, families and individuals in the support of the elderly. Contributions, and the mechanism of interaction between the three; ultimately, it helps to integrate the resources of family pension and community pension, more effectively protect the living standards of the elderly, and improve the old-age security system, so as to establish more efficient economic support for the elderly. system.

 

In addition to the data based on China's health and pension tracking survey, this topic will study the trend of the elderly poverty rate and its determinants in combination with China's pension reform practice in recent years, and further study the three major sources of government, family and individuals in the support of the elderly economy. The composition, their relationship and their impact on the poverty rate; finally, combined with China's national conditions, fully consider the other characteristics of the children, such as the level of education of the children, whether they have gone to the mountains, etc., to study the children's economic support for migrant workers ( Intergenerational transfer) and predict the future family burden of the elderly population in China.
